Personal data
Within Equine Rescue Services Limited, we use procedural and technical processes to keep your personal data safe and secure.
We store and use the minimum amount of your personal data needed to provide you with the membership, breakdown and recovery services you have requested. At most, this comprises your name, contact details and vehicle registration number and type.
In a breakdown situation, we will share your name, telephone number, breakdown location and vehicle registration number and type with some or all of the following:
- Our authorised breakdown repair and recovery agent.
- Our authorised tyre service provider.
- Our authorised horse transport provider.
- Highways England, Traffic Scotland and Traffic Wales.
- Relevant local Police Service.
In the event of a vehicle and/or horse recovery, we will, with your permission, provide the transporter with your destination details, this may or may not be your home address.
We do not share your data with anyone else and we do not use any automated decision- making processes.
Financial Data
Equine Rescue Services Limited does not keep or store payment card details. For card payments, we comply with and are certificated by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, (PCIDDS).
For bank and DD payments, we comply with the requirements of the BACS and Direct Debit System requirements. This is achieved by a combination of registration, password protection and card protected access.

To request the erasure of all personal data we hold for you and for it to be confirmed to you within four weeks. Valid reasons to refuse this request are an unresolved complaint process and any ongoing debt recovery process.
